Ms. Beard's many years of experience in historical research, architectural history, and historical archaeology make her an integral part of the Tom Origer & Associates' team. Her affiliations are with the Society (now Register) of Professional Archaeologists, the Society for California Archaeology, the Society for Historical Archaeology, the Northern California Chapter of the Society for Architectural Historians, and the Vernacular Architecture Forum.

Ms.
Beard obtained a Master of Arts degree in Cultural Resources Management in 1993,
from Sonoma State University. Her post-graduate work includes courses in the
American cultural landscape through the University of California, Berkeley
Department of Architecture and in historical survey planning at the University
of Nevada, Reno. She has had cultural resources management experience throughout
northern California for over 15 years, including extensive work involving the
Section 106 process for projects in Sonoma, Napa, and Contra Costa Counties.
