Requests for proposals

Tom Origer & Associates (formerly Thomas M. Origer, Consulting Archaeologist) has been providing consultation and research concerning archaeology, history, historic structures, and Native American issues in northern and central California since 1983.

This firm has been conducting cultural resources studies in northern and central California for a variety of federal (e.g., Bureau of Land Management), state (e.g., Caltrans), county (e.g., Sonoma County Permit and Resources Management Department), and city (e.g., City of Novato) agencies, as well as private firms including planners, corporations, and others. Currently, among other on-going projects, we have a blanket contract to conduct cultural resources studies for the Sonoma County Public Works Department.

Projects have been completed in Alameda, Calaveras, Colusa, Contra Costa, El Dorado, Glenn, Humboldt, Lake, Lassen, Marin, Mendocino, Napa, Nevada, Placer, Plumas, San Francisco, San Joaquin, San Mateo, Santa Clara, Shasta, Sierra, Siskiyou, Solano, Sonoma, Tuolumne, Yolo, and Yuba counties.

Tom Origer & Associates has an experienced staff and all equipment necessary to complete cultural resources elements of EIR and EIS level studies including specific plans, land inventories, archaeological site testing and data recovery investigations, technical analysis, and reports that satisfy CEQA and NHPA Section 106, as warranted. In addition, the firm maintains an extensive library of maps and other documents particularly germane to historical research.
