Tom Origer & Associates conducts architectural and historical evaluations of elements of the built environment, as they are needed by planners, agencies, and private owners. Our work includes eligibility determinations for buildings and structures of all types, pursuant to the California Environmental Quality Act and the National Historic Preservation Act. Architectural history requires a melding of history, folklore, primary research, and on-site observations to assess the importance of buildings and structures that, for one reason or another, might reflect important aspects of federal, state, or local history. To understand the history of a building is to understand its architectural, cultural, social, economic, and environmental setting. Tom Origer & Associates Archaeology/Historical Research |
